Greetings.

I'm Jim Pitts. My wife, Joanne, and I have been growing wheat and raising cattle on our farm here in Douglas County, Washington, since the 1950's. We have also raised five children and numerous grandchildren here on the farm. Our oldest son Jimmie started the bird farm and hunting business in 1979 when he was only twenty two years old.

We have been carrying it on in his memory since his death in a traffic accident in 1996. The business is grandfathered in, so that no state hunting license is required, and we have not formed it into a club that requires a costly membership and annual dues.

Our goal is to provide a good bird hunting experience at a reasonable price, and we look forward to serving many return hunters. We invite you to hunt year-round, as we are not restricted to the normal bird hunting seasons.

We also sell and ship pheasants, chukkar and quail to hunters and clubs by overnight mail, and deliver some locally. Check the "BIRDS TO GO" link if you are interested.

Since many of you have no idea where our farm is, we have provided a map of the state with major highway routes, and a local map with directions for you, once you get in the area. The "MAPS" link should give you all the directions you need, but feel free to call if you feel the need.

Being over 200 miles from Seattle and 120 from Spokane, you may be interested in spending the night. We offer lodging here on the farm in a comfortable bunkhouse. Call for prices. Also there are motels in Coulee City, Grand Coulee, Coulee Dam and Bridgeport. Check the "LODGING" link.

We also offer a package special including birds and accommodations at the Ala Cozy Motel in Coulee City. You might also be interested in camping in two excellent State Parks, Steamboat Rock and Park Lake.

Seasonal specials and packages are offered in the "SPECIALS" link. For instance, every July and August, fathers hunting with their sons up to 15 years old get a special deal.

Check out the "PHOTOS" link for others.

You might want to do a little skeet shooting or target practice. We have available clay pigeons and paper targets for your enjoyment.

If you don't have a dog, there is a local fellow who is a dog trainer who will rent you his dogs, but requires at least two days notice. Call for particulars.

This area has many attractions including hunting, fishing, camping, water sports, the Grand Coulee Dam laser light show, a casino, golf and off-road trails. Consider doing some bird hunting at our game farm when you are in the area for other recreation activities.

Gift Certificates are available for the special hunter in your life.
